The Six Pillars of Your Spiritual Practice

The best thing and the worst thing about the internet is that we have instant access to the ideas of millions of other people. Best, because we can share inspiration and easily spread ideas about wellness, spirituality and connection. Worst, because it is all too easy to become entirely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information out there.

Whether you are just getting started on developing your spiritual practice, or are an experienced practitioner looking for a little clarity, you might find yourself distracted by too many interests and ideas. That’s where my system of the Six Pillars of Your Spiritual Practice comes in!

The Six Pillars of Your Spiritual Practice | The Witch of Lupine Hollow

The concept of the Six Pillars is to break your practice down into six foundational elements. You can certainly be interested in and pursue as many other ideas and ritual elements as you like, but these six pillars are your roots.

The six pillars consist of Mind, Body, Nature, Divination, Devotionals and a sixth pillar of your choosing.

These are designed to be highly adaptable and customizable for any belief systems, lifestyles and needs. Once you have discovered the Six Pillars of Your Spiritual Practice, you will put them together to create customized rituals that suit your specific needs. Whether it be through morning and evening rituals, mini rituals for when you’re short on time or feeling uninspired or techniques for adapting and maintaining your practice throughout life’s changes and challenges, your Six Pillars can serve as a supportive foundation.

This method is the heart of my book, The Modern Witch’s Guide to Magickal Self-Care, and of the workshops I teach every month in the Starlight Coven! Using this method to create rituals and practices that fulfill your needs holistically will also help you practice witchcraft more consistently and confidently. Join the Starlight Coven for tons of workshops and resources that explore each of the pillars in depth!
