Today is Yule, the winter solstice and the longest night of the year! To celebrate, I’m sharing with you a diffuser blend for winter and Yule. Yuletide scents are easy to identify and have a comforting aroma. These are scents that most of us have grown up with, scents that take us right back to our childhood holiday celebrations. You’ll find this diffuser blend recipe and so much more in the “10 Days of Yule” free online course in Lavender + Lupine School of Magick!

Winter Diffuser Blend
Pine is a wonderful, cleansing herb with a fresh, clean scent. Cedar is more common for smoke cleansing but burning pine or hanging a pine bough over the door is a great way to encourage new beginnings.
Peppermint is also great for purification. Though spring is more commonly thought of as the time to “clean house”, the winter solstice is also a great time to take stock and clear out the unnecessary baggage we are carrying around (physically and emotionally). Pine and peppermint together are powerful cleansing herbs to help facilitate this process.
Cinnamon is a more fiery scent than the other two ingredients in this blend, but it has a warm, comforting energy. Not only does cinnamon smell like baking cookies and childhood memories, but it is also a powerful prosperity herb to usher in a prosperous new year.
